Chamber Information

The Chamber of Commerce is the voice for local businesses. It is made up of more than 500 members, led by 14 board members and is staffed by 4 knowledgeable employees. It is the only organization in our area working full time to enhance our business environment and make our community a better place to live and work. Chamber membership can be a great investment.

    Leadership Development

    •  Leadership Toombs-Montgomery - this program seeks to develop both existing and emerging leaders of diverse backgrounds through educational experiences and specific training. The program provides these citizens with increased knowledge of the workings of the community, making them more aware of service opportunities.
    •  Toombs-Montgomery Youth Leadership - The class is made up of high school students from all area high schools. The program covers leadership training, the different components of our area that make this community great, time management, personal finance and proper etiquette.

  •  Discount Workers’ Compensation Premiums - Businesses can save 7.5 percent on workers’ compensation premiums by becoming a Certified Drug-Free Workplace.  This is a program of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce and is implemented by local chambers.
