Education

The Toombs and Montgomery County areas have award-winning educational facilities that place high standards on academics. From Pre-K through earning a degree in a post-secondary setting, obtaining an education without commuting too far can easily be achieved.

Colleges:

Brewton-Parker College in Mt. Vernon is a four year liberal arts institution, which offers 38 majors and 25 minors of study in a supportive Christian setting. Founded in 1904, the campus is located in a quiet, rural location, which is an ideal place for study and for interacting with others to form lasting friendships. With an excellent library and five computer labs, graduates of Brewton-Parker leave well prepared to have a positive impact in today's world.

Southeastern Technical College is located in southeast Georgia. Serving Montgomery, Tattnall and Toombs Counties, the college is the primary public advanced educational institution for this tri-county population. Our diverse staff is here to train students in more than 50 programs. We have campuses in Vidalia and Glennville.  Our Adult Literacy programs through the Economic Development Center are located in Vidalia, Glennville and Mt. Vernon.
